Learn some useful Japanese vocabulary and help make remembering kanji easier.
As I said before, if I were you I would invest in a little notebook and as you learn each Chinese character, then write it in your notebook, along with its reading and definition.
When you have nothing to do, open your notebook and do a little practice. Cover up the reading and definition and see if you can remember these by just looking at the kanji. It can actually be quite relaxing.
Numbers are quite simple and I think a good place to start off with.
Once again, try to write them, using the advice I gave you earlier in the "Understanding Kanji" page.
Don't worry about making mistakes, it is part of the learning process.
Romaji Hiragana Kanji
ichi いち 一
ni に 二
san さん 三
shi(yon) し(よん) 四
go ご 五
roku ろく 六
shichi(nana) しち(なな) 七
hachi はち 八
kyuu きゅう 九
juu じゅう 十
hyaku ひゃく 百
sen せん 千
man まん 万
Hyaku = 100, sen = 1000 and Man = 10000.
A million = びゃくまん = 百万
Use "yon," when using the higher numbers and not "shi":
14 = juu yon, 40 = yon juu.
Do the same with "nana," instead of "shichi."
Once you have mastered the numbers, the months should be quite easy.
The Japanese just number the months and add "gatsu" after the number:
January: ichi gatsu いちがつ 一月
February: ni gatsu にがつ 二月...
The only exception to the rule is October, which is pronounced "ku gatsu" and not "kyuu gatsu," as you would expect.
The days of the week should also be relatively easy for you.
Once you've mastered Monday, then for the rest of the days it's just a matter of exchanging one of the kanji.
English Romaji Hiragana Kanji
Monday getsuyoubi げつようび 月曜日
Tuesday kayoubi かようび 火曜日
Wednesday suiyoubi すいようび 水曜日
Thursday mokuyoubi もくようび 木曜日
Friday kinyoubi きんようび 金曜日
Saturday doyoubi どようび 土曜日
Sunday nichiyoubi にちようび 日曜日
A lot of times you will find these contract to getsu, ka, sui, moku, kin, do, and nichi.

Some colours:
Green midori みどり 緑
Red akai あかい 赤い
Yellow kiiroi きいろい 黄色い
Black kuroi くろい 黒い
White shiroi しろい 白い
Notice the added い with the above adjectives.
Not all adjectives have this.
For example, kantan, meaning simple:
This kanji is simple. Kono kanji wa kantan desu.
This is a simple kanji. Kore wa kantan na kanji desu.
That na is what they call a partcle, which tells us the function of the word just before it.
Body Parts: Remember Japanese nouns do not indicate whether they are singular or plural, so 体 could indicate one body or 100
bodies.
